In-Person COVID-19 Safety Measures for BCIMS Events

BCIMS is happy to welcome folks back to in-person gatherings. While we are excited to be connecting again in person, the safety of the sangha and our communities remains our priority. 

COVID-19 Double Vaccination Requirement

We ask that all attendees be fully vaccinated and be prepared to provide proof of double vaccination during check-in for in-person BCIMS events.



Your BC Vaccine Card. We will accept a BC Government issued digital card or a BC Government issued paper card


One piece of valid Government issued photo ID


Please review the following ahead of your arrival:

Before you arrive

We ask that you stay home if you have:


Any of the following symptoms

fever, chills, shortness of breath, new muscle aches or headache, sore throat, new or worsening cough


Travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days


Close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19

Please consider taking the BC COVID-19 Self Check prior to your arrival. (

When you arrive

COVID-19 Protocols

All BCIMS in-person events are planned to have limited capacity to allow for seat spacing.


Please wear a mask when indoors

Maintain social distancing indoors as much as possible.


Arrive early to help ease the check-in line

Please consider taking the BC COVID-19 Self Check prior to your arrival. (

Check in

Attendees will be checked-in by a volunteer BCIMS Team Member. Please have your proof of vaccination and ID ready.


For Residential Retreats

Retreatants will be checked-in once when they first arrive, with no further action needed.


For Non-Residential Retreats, Classes, Day-Longs, etc

During sign-in, attendees will be given either a name tag or a wrist band after they have undergone the vaccine check. We ask attendees to please keep their nametag or wrist band on throughout the retreat as this will help indicate that you have been checked-in.
