Financial Assistance

We encourage individuals with financial challenges to apply for financial assistance. It is our sincere wish that financial constraints not be an impediment to individuals’ ability to hear and practice the dharma on retreat.

For Residential Retreats:

Financial assistance is available on all residential retreats, thanks to the generosity of individuals donating to our Scholarship Fund. 

Approved assistance for most residential retreats generally come in the form of up to a 50% reduction in the retreat fee.

As financial assistance funds are limited, the number of scholarship per residential retreat is also limited.   

For each BCIMS residential retreat, there is a financial assistance application date published.  This date is usually two weeks before the retreat opens for registration.    The application is simply an email to   In this email, indicate the amount of  assistance you are requesting.  You will receive an email response regarding your application before registration opens.

If you apply after the application date and if scholarship funds are still available for this retreat, your application will still be considered.

For Non-Residential Retreat:

The full weekend fee (currently $95) allows us to continue to offer these retreats. To assist with this retreat being available to all who are interested, BCIMS offers a reduced fee of $50 for young adults under 30 and those on low incomes.
